+129840 I seem to remember this from a Geography class I took in college....it's called the Mercator projection....read about it here, DS.....(note that it is physically impossible to "project" a 3-D spherical surface onto a plane....all projections of this type have some measure of "distortion"....!!!) ...thus...there is no "best" projection..!!!
