If p q r form a geometric progression then q = m*p, r = m*q
If a b c form a geometric progression then b = n*a, c = n*b
So bq = n*a*m*p = nm*ap and cr = n*b*m*q = nm*bq, so ap, bq, cr form a geometric progression also with each term being nm times the previous one.
