Hey y'all, so I'm desperately trying to pass math and not doing so well so I need major help. I'm not asking to give me just the answer and that's it, but an explanation on how you got it and the steps involed. Thank you so so so much.

1) Joshua has a ladder that is 12 ft long. He wants to lean the ladder against a vertical wall so that the top of the ladder is 11.8 ft above the ground. For safety reasons, he wants the angle the ladder makes with the ground to be no greater than 75°. Will the ladder be safe at this height? Show your work and draw a diagram to support your answer.

2) The ceiling of Katie’s living room is a square that is 15 ft long on each side. To decorate for a party, she plans to hang crepe paper around the perimeter of the ceiling and then from each corner to the opposite corner. Katie can buy rolls that each contain 20 ft of crepe paper. What is the minimum number of rolls she should buy? Show your work.

3)

Thank you so so so much!!

now I will use the calc.

asin(11.8/12) = 79.524686156771

80 degrees is more than 75 degrees so the ladder is not safe for this height.

Try doing this yourself and make sure you can reproduce my answer.

Make sure you totally understand it.

You are welcome to say what problem you are having if you do not understand.

3)

Tan(60) = BC / 5

1.732 =BC / 5       Cross multiply

BC = 8.66 cm

Area = Base x Height /2

Area = 5 x 8.66 / 2

Area = 21.7 cm^2
