Volume of a cylinder is area x height = pi r^2 h       We want to find 'r'

v = pi r^2 h    solve for 'r'

v/(pi h) = r^2

sqrt (v/(pi h) = r

sqrt (18488/(pi*23) = r = 15.995 m = ~ 16 m

Second one:

Area of cylinder   pi r^2 = 36 pi

Volume she ate =  area x  5 cm   (the jar went from 11 cm to 6 cm = 5 cm)

                          =  36 pi x 5  = 565 cm^2     (and now Kelly has heartburn ! )  cheeky
