volume of cone = (1/3) * pi * radius2 * height

 

radius = diameter/2

radius = 3/2  inches

 

volume of cone = (1/3) * pi * (3/2)2  * 5

                         = (1/3) * pi * (9/4) * 5

                         = (15/4)pi

                         ≈ (15/4)(3.14)    =    11.775   cubic inches
