What is the answer to this problem? If the sector area of a sector intersecting Arc AB is 30 and the radius is 15, then the measure of Arc AB is ___°. (Round your answer to one decimal place, if necessary.)

Area of a sector  =  theta * pi * r^2 / 360   .....so...we have

 

30  =  theta * pi * (225) /360  simplify

 

30  = theta  * pi  * (5/8)      divide both sides by   pi * (5/8)

 

30 / [ pi * 5/8]  = theta  ≈  15.3°
