Area of a quarter circle of radius 12          =     1/4  pi 12^2

    subtract the triangle area:        1/2 b h  =  1/2 12 x 12

perimeter =  hypotenuse of right triangle with legs = 12 and 12             sqrt (122 + 122 )

            +  1/4  pi x d              d = diameter = 24
