a cylinder has a diameter of 10 inches and a height four times its radius. what is its volume?

If the diameter is 10, then the radius = 5  .....  and the height is 4 times this  = 20

 

The  volume is

 

pi * radius^2 * height  = 

 

pi * 5^2 * 20  =

 

pi * 25 * 20  =

 

500 pi  cubic units  = about  1570.8  cubic units
