Quadrilateral ABCD is a circumscribed quadrilateral, meaning that it is circumscribed about a circle, so the circle is tangent to all four sides of ABCD. Show that AB + CD = BC + AD.

nevermind, i think i got it;

heres how i did it

first draw quadrilateral ABCD, then draw the circle inside. start labeling the equal tangents from vertices. also label the points of tangency. I labeled mine

like this: W on AB, X on BC, Y on DC, and Z on AD. AW = AZ = x (variables), BX = WB = y, XC = YC = z, and ZD = DY = w.

the equation is x + y + w + z = x + w + y + z

which is true

proved

this solution made no sense i know
