A right hexagonal prism has a height of 3 feet and each edge of the hexagonal bases is 6 inches. What is the sum of the areas of the non-hexagonal faces of the prism, in square feet?

EACH of the SIX sides are   3 x 1/2  ft^2

6  *  (3 x 1/2) = 9 sq ft
