AC^2 + BC^2 / 4  =  1

AC^2/4 + BC^2 = 1

 

4AC^2 + BC^2  = 4

-AC^2/4 - BC^2  =  -1       add these

 

(15/4)AC^2  =  3

AC^2  = 4/5

 

 

And

 

AC^2 + (BC/2)^2  = 1

4/5 + BC^2 / 4  =  1

BC^2 / 4  = 1/5

BC^2  = 4/5

 

 

Hypotenuse length =  sqrt [ AC^2 + BC^2 ] =   sqrt [ 4/5 + 4/5 ] =  sqrt (8/5) = 2sqrt (2) / sqrt (5)  =
