Part of Question 1: The slope can be found by y_2-y_1/x_2-x_1, so for line AB, the slope is -7/4.

AB slope   = -7/4

BC slope  =  [ 4 - 3 ] / [ 3 - - 4]    1 / 7

CD slope  =  [ -1 - 4 ] / [ 6 - 3 ] =  -5/3

AD slope  =  [ -1 - - 4 ] / [ 6 - 0 ]  = 3 / 6  = 1 / 2

Neither a parallelogram or a trapezoid

Neither pair of opposite sides are parallel

C  =  ( a, b)

AC  =  sqrt [ ( a - 0)^2  + (b - 0)^2  ]  =  sqrt [a^2 + b^2 ]

BD  = sqrt [ ( a - 0)^2 + ( 0 - b)^2 ]  =  sqrt [ (a)^2 + (-b)^2 ]  = sqrt [ a^2 + b^2 ]
