I have a question that requires the answer to be in the form of
ex. = 3.93 x 10(to the power of -1)
this is for chemistry

When I use a calculator I get decimal form such as .393929

I noticed on this calculator if i press enter it does it for me, but how do I go about doing this on another calculator (like a handheld one for class)?

I'll elaborate a little more

Question:

A quiet sound exerts of a pressure of 4*10^-8 kPa. What is this pressure in atmospheres if 1 atmosphere is 101.3kPa?

atmosphere pressure= (4*10^-8kPa) (1atmosphere)
101.3kPa

The answer in decimal form is 0.0000000003948667 (my answer)

The book answers it as

4 X 10^-10 atmospheres
