Let the common ratio be $$x$$ then,

No. of white beads = $$3x$$

No. of black beads = $$5x$$

Now, according to question

$${3x+22 \over 5x}={4 \over 3}$$

$$9x+66=20x$$

$$11x=66$$

$$x=6$$

∴ There were 5*6 = 30 black beads.
