Graph the solution to the inequality.

-7√ x-1<-14

Select the correct symbol and plot the solution to the inequality on the number line.

Ok, so they gave me a number line from numbers -2 to 10 and some symbols

My answer was an open circle with an arrow and I put the open circle from 5 to 10, is that correct?

-7 sqrt ( x - 1)  < -14                  divide both sides by -7 ,  reverse the inequality sign

sqrt (x - 1) >  2                          square both sides

x - 1  >  4

x >  5

Open circle at x = 5 with an arrow pointing to the right   ( to indicate that the the solution does  not stop at  x =10 )
