The graph of y = f(x) is a parabola whose vertex is at (1, -2). The graph of y = f(2x - 3) is also a parabola. Where is the vertex of the graph of y = f(2x-3)?

Let f(x) =  (x - 1)^2  - 2

Then

f ( 2x - 3)  =  [ (2x - 3) - 1]^2  - 2   =

[ 2x - 4 ]^2  - 2  =

[ 2 ( x - 2)]^2  - 2  =

4 ( x - 2)^2 - 2

The vertex is    ( 2 , -2)
