Graph both functions to find the solution(s) to the system.

{f(x)=−2x+1 g(x)=x^2−2x−3}

Choose maximum or minimum point first and then a point on the parabola.

Thanks so much for all your help.

Here are the graphical solution(s) :

https://www.desmos.com/calculator/r5bmyzfyrx

They occur  at (-2, 5)  and  ( 2, - 3)

I don't really understand what this  " Choose maximum or minimum point first and then a point on the parabola."    has to do with finding the solutions.....(????)

Hi, thanks for all your help. I also didn't understand these instructions, but it was apart of the question. I guess that was why I also got confused. Thanks again.
