btw, im sure calculus could take 7 pages to solve some equations, and some many many more pages and much time. 

How hard is calculus? I've never done it before.

Calculus involves some new concepts which take a while to understand.  

It is very powerful and once you get a bit of an understanding it is a lot of fun.   :)
