Grogg draws the following figure. It so happens that angle SAP is 178 degrees less than 4 times angle SOP. Find the degree measure of angle SAP.

∠SAP ≅ ∠SOP

4x - 178 = x

3x = 178

x = 59.33333º

∠SOP = 59.33333º

I believe the two inscribed angles are = (since they intercept the same arc)

so x = 4x-178 ( x is SAP ...or SOP)

-3x = -178

x = 59.33^o
