Draw  perpendicular AB  from  the  top left vertex  to the base

Let  C   be the  bottom left  vertex of the trapezoid

Then  triangle  ABC  is a right triangle  with  AC  the hypotenuse and  BC  a leg

Note  that  BC   =  8  - 5    =  3

So....the  missing side  [ the height of the trapezoid ]  is

√[ AC^2  - BC^2]   = √[7^2  - 3^2] =  √[49 - 9 ] =  √40  =   2√10
