A stick has a length of  units. The stick is then broken at two points, chosen at random. What is the probability that all three resulting pieces are shorter than  units?

 

I've gotten 3/5 as an answer, but that turned out to be wrong. pls halp

Uhm, it has not.  It blanked out a number.  It should be, what is the probability that all three resulting pieces are shorter than 3 units?  All of the other ones are not for 3 units.  THis one is different.

Well.... you don't KNOW this one is different as the numbers are missing....BUT the OTHER solutions will show the method....which should be enough to help solve this one !    ~ EP
