numerator =    2 ( 3 2/3)

denominator =  1 + 31/3 + 32/3             Multiply numerator and denominator by (1-31/3)

and simplify to  (after all of the steps)   to    3 - 32/3       or   3 - \(\sqrt[3]{9}\)

.
