I assume you are trying to find the value of 'a'

150 = 2a + 10       subtract 10 from each side of the equation

140 = 2a               now divide both sides by 2

70 = a

To solve this problem,

 

Subtract 10 from both sides.

 

Then Divide by 2 from both sides.

 

You will get a = 70.
