4x+3y+7=0 and passes through the point ( -6,2 )

Parallel lines have the same slope so we need to find the slope of the given line

In the form  Ax + By + C  = 0, the slope is given by -A/B   ...so.....the slope is =  -4/3

And we can use the point-slope form

y - 2  = (-4/3)(x - -6)

y  = (-4/3)x - 8  + 2

y  = (-4/3)x - 6

In standard form we would have

4x + 3y + 18   = 0
