vertex is at   -1, -2       and point 0,-1

vertex form for parabola

y = m (x+1)^2 -2      when x = 0   y = -1

-1 =m(1^2)-2

m = 1

 

y = (x+1)^2 -2   expand

 y = x^2 +2x -1                          You can finish   .....
