For the first one...we need to remember something

Angle SUT intercepts diameter ST.....when we have this situation, the measure of SUT = 90°

So   angle TSU  =  180 - 90 - 43 =  47°

And we know that

2 measure of TSU =  9x - 14

2 (47) =   9x - 14

94 = 9x - 14      add 14 to both sides

108 = 9x        divide both sides by   9

12 = x

The second one is easier

We have a cyclic quadrilateral....remember that opposite angles sum to 180“

So 

47 + (7x + 21) = 180    simplify

7x + 68 = 180
