Your brackets are unbalanced there are 3 ( and only one ) 
Maybe this is what you mean???

\((\sqrt{12} -\sqrt3 )^2\\ =(\sqrt{4*3} -\sqrt3 )^2\\ =(\sqrt{4}*\sqrt{3} -\sqrt3 )^2\\ =(2\sqrt{3} -\sqrt3 )^2\\ =(\sqrt3 )^2\\ =\sqrt3*\sqrt3\\ =3\)
