The quadratic $2x^2-3x+27$ has two imaginary roots. What is the sum of the squares of these roots? Express your answer as a decimal rounded to the nearest hundredth.
Use Quadratic Formula :
\(x = {-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}\) a = 2 b = -3 c = 27
This will give you the two roots....then you can add them.... I'll tell you the imaginary parts : +- 3/4 * i sqrt (23)
