There are some red and green paper clips in a box. There are 48 more red than green paper clips. 50% of the red paper clips is equal to 3/4 of the green paper clips. How many paper clips are there in the box altogether?

Ok. So we can list what we have out

The ratio of red paper clips to green paper clips is 3/2.

the reason for this must be the extra 48 clips

so, 3*48=144

then, 48*2=96, which is the amount of green paper clips with the ratio.

144+96=\(\fbox{240}\)
