What is the equation, in point-slope form, for a line that goes through (8, −4)(8, −4) and has a slope of −56−56 ?

y−4=−56(x+8)y−4=−56(x+8)

y+4=−56(x+8)y+4=−56(x+8)

y+4=−56(x−8)y+4=−56(x−8)

y−4=−56(x−8)

y = mx+b

y= 56 (8) + b

-4 = 448 + b       so b = -452

y = 56 ( x -8)  - 4

 or, re-arranging:

y+4 = 56 (x-8)
