You have to use B.I.D.M.A.S and so add the 2 and 1 in the bracket first to get 3. Then you do the division of 6 by 2 to get 3. You sould get 3(3) and due to the brackets you times the two, as in the 3 and 3, to get 9.
_6_X (1+2)= If it were written like this, you wouldn't multiply 2 x 3, but[ 6 x 3] / 2 =9 2
