Surface Area of Half a Cylinder:

 

\(A=\frac{1}{2}(2\pi*r*h+ 2\pi*{r}^{2})\)

So the surface area of a cylinder is given by:

 A = (2*pi*r*h + 2*pi*r^2)

 

Therefore half the surface area is just:

A = 0.5*(2*pi*r*h + 2*pi*r^2)
