y = 2/ (x+1) or is it 2/x +1 ? people often forget parentheses which are necessary.....

IF it's: y = 2/(x+1)

x = 2 / (y+1)

y+1 = 2/x

y = 2/x -1 is the f^{-1 }

y = 2/(1/5) -1 = 9
