Example:  Turning an improper fraction into a mixed fraction.

                 Improper fraction:  23/7

                 -- divide 7 into 23 to get 3, with a remainder of 2

                 -- mixed:  3 2/7

Example:  Turning a mixed fraction into an improper fraction.

                Mixed fraction: 7 3/5

                 -- multiply 7 x 5 and then add 3  = 7x5 + 3  =  38

                 -- improper:  38/5

For improper fractions you would divide the top by the bottom and get a decimal then turn it into a improper fraction. To turn a mixed number to an improper fraction you would mutiply the whole number by the neumerater then add the denominator to the product.😃

i asked this qeustion and thank u SO much i was so panicked its due 2morrow and my math teacher said if i did not get in i would have a weeks worth of detention
