Parallel lines have equal slopes.......and the slope of the given line is 1/3 ...so we have
y - (-1) = (1/3)(x - (-3))
y + 1 = (1/3)x + 1 subtract 1 from both sides
y = (1/3)x
parallel to 3x+4y=12 through (4,-5)
parallel to : x+2y=5 through (-6,2)
parallel to y=-2/5x-10 through (10,-3)
