The first odd number can be found from:  2*1 - 1  = 1

The 2nd odd number can be found from:  2*2 - 1  = 3

The 3rd odd number can be found from:   2*3 - 1  = 5

The 4th odd number can be found from:   2*4 - 1  = 7

...

so the 2004th odd number can be found from:   ..........  ?

2*2004-1=4007
