Scientists launched a rocket which can be modeled by the equation h = -16t^2 + 48t + 2, where t is time in seconds, and h is the distance from the ground in feet.

a) Find the maximum height of this rocket.

_ feet

b) When does the maximum height occur?

h = -16t^2 + 48t + 2,        Quadratic equation     a = -16     b = 48    c = 2

                                             max will occur at    t = -b/2a

     use the value of 't' you calculated above    in the equation to calculate the max height.....
