Rise over run.

 

Take out a sheet of graph paper.

 

Plot (0,18).

 

Go down -3, then go right 7.

 

Make a point there.

 

Conenect the dots into a line and figure out where the x-intercept is.

 y = mx + b

y = -3/7 x + 18         x intercept is when y = 0 .....put that in

'0'  = -3/7x + 18        solve for x
