Angle RPQ = 90°

Angle PQR = 30°   ...so

Angle PRQ = 60°

So...we have a 30-60-90 right triangle

The side opposite the 60° angle, (PQ)  = √3 * ( the side opposite the 30° angle) = √3 * ( PR) =

√3 (9√3)  =  √3  *√3 * 9   =   3 * 9   =   27  = PQ
