Use quadratic Formula to find the roots

a = 1      b = -13       c = 4

\(x = {13 \pm \sqrt{13^2-4(1)(4)} \over 2(1)}\)     to find    x =  13/2   +- 3/2  sqrt 17       Then square the roots and add them together.... to get 81.
