For the graph of a certain quadratic y=ax^2+bx+c , the vertex of the parabola is  (3,7)and one of the x-intercepts is (-2,0) . What is thex  -coordinate of the other x -intercept?

Please give me the direct answer.

Thanks In Advance!

Because  of symmetry of the  roots around the  vertex,  we can solve  for the other  x intercept thusly :

( 3 + [ 3 - - 2] , 0 )   =  (  3  + 5 , 0 )    =   (8, 0)

So....the other  x intercept  is  ( 8, 0)
