Find the areas of Circle 1 and Circle 2. How many copies of Circle 1 would you need to equal the area of Circle 2? Use pencil and paper. If the diameters of both circles were given in kilometers instead of miles, would you need a different number of copies of Circle 1 to equal the area of Circle 2? Explain.

Sorry, I forgot the numbers :/

Circle 1 is 12 mi

Circle 2 is 36 mi
