Let the width = W......then the Length  = L = 2W + 6

And the perimeter = 2(W + L).....so we have

84 = 2 (W + L)

84 = 2 (W + 2W + 6)    simplify

84 = 2(3w + 6)

84  = 6w + 12    subtract 12 from both sides

72 = 6W    divide both sides by 6

W = 12m

And   L = 2W + 6  = 2(12) + 6  = 30m
