How do you find a triangle prism and find the surface area? The square has 9 and the triangles are 12.

You must mean "pyramid" rather than prism......and I'm assuming a square pyramid with a a base side = 9

And I assume that 12 is the height of each triangle

The total  surface area  =  surface area of the base +  surface area  of the sides =

[side of base]^2  + 4 * (area of each triangle)  =

[side of base]^2 + 4 (1/2)(side of base)(height of triangle)

(9)^2   +  4(1/2)(9)(12)  =

36 + 18*12  =

36 + 216  =

252  units^2

cool cool cool
