Because 10 is an EVEN number. If it were ODD number-like 11-then the answer would be negative.
Because (-1)^10 = (-1)(-1)(-1)(-1)(-1)(-1)(-1)(-1)(-1)(-1) = (1)(1)(1)(1)(1)(1) = 1, and 1 is positive.
