When m=7  a=15  and the two are directly proportional so

 

a=km

15=k*7

k=15/7

 

so

 

a=(15/7)*m

Since the scale is 7: 180 or 1: 25 5/7 inches, or 1 inch to 2 1/7 feet, your equation should reflect that.
