A car with a speed of 35.0 m/s is approaching a low-speed zone with a speed limit of 10.0 m/s. The maximum magnitude of the car's acceleration is 5.35 m/s2 . At what minimum distance from the beginning of the low-speed zone should the car begin to accelerate? You may assume that the car will accelerate uniformly as it approaches the low-speed zone.

vf = vo  +   a t

10 = 35 + (-5.35) t

t = 4.673 s

xf = xo + vo t  + 1/2 a t^2

xf = 0  + 35 (4.673) + 1/2 (-5.35)(4.673)^2

xf = 105.14  m
