An equilateral triangle has sides of length 2 units. A second equilateral triangle is formed having sides that are of the length of the sides of the first triangle. A third equilateral triangle is formed having sides that are of the length of the sides of the second triangle. The process is continued until ten equilateral triangles exist. What will be the percent increase in the perimeter from the first triangle to the tenth triangle? Express your answer to the nearest tenth.

"A second equilateral triangle is formed having sides that are of the length of the sides of the first triangle."

I understand that this way:

1st triangle has a side of 2 units

2nd   .................... side of 6 units

3rd    .................... side of 18 units

and so on........

If it's so, then the percentage increase will be 1,968,300 % surprise
