Combine like terms: x^2 + 10x + 25 = 25, subtract 25 from bothsides, x^2 + 10x = 0, you'll see that it can be factored to x(x + 10) = 0, so either of those are equal to 0, if looking for the smaller one, look at x + 10 = 0, x = -10.
