Hello Guest,

8(x+15)=12x

im confused on how to start it.

8(x + 15) = 12x

(8x + 8 * 15) = 12x

8x + 120 = 12x

(8x - 12x) + 120 = 12x -12x

-4x + 120 = 0

(120 - 120) -4x = -120

-4x = -120

\(\frac{-4x}{-4}=\frac{-120}{-4}\)

\(x = \frac{-120}{-4}\)

\(x = \frac{-30}{-1}\)

\(x = 30\)

So x = 30 is the right answer.

Hope that was helpful. ^^
